This type of lungi is a traditional clothing item for men in Kerala. It is still widely worn nowadays because it is such a comfortable clothing. It is also known as a sarong in other countries. And as dhoti and mundu in some parts of India.

The lungi is made from Khadi Cotton. Khadi was started by Gandhi to empower village people and has been continued in India ever since. It is traditionally a handspun hand woven cotton.The cotton will soften after washing.
